Low-Density Polyethylene Nanocomposite Containing Zn/Ti Layered Double Hydroxide

The presented work shows the synthesis and characterization of Zn/Ti layered double hydroxide (LDH) intercalated with carbonate dodecyl sulfate ions following its application as a functional filler in LDPE order to improve thermal properties resistance degradation UV-Vis radiation. X-ray diffractogram patterns LDH-CO3 LDH-DDS present basal spacing value 6.81 Å 38.09 Å, respectively, indicating success compound synthesis. nanocomposite containing hydrophobic hydrophilic LDH very well dispersed nanocomposite, demonstrated XRD DSC results. addition only 1 % into causes an increase 5.43 oC property. absorbs more light compared due enhanced interlayer distance presence DDS space LDH, which further intercalation process polymer chains within regions LDH.
